3/5:
First frame: Toni: Hi, Luann! What brings you here? Luann: I'm hoping you can put up a poster for our school musical. Looks like Luann's trying to hype it up as much as possible. Second (and final) frame: Toni: Sure. Gee, I wonder if I can get some guy to take me? Luann: I dunno. Do you know a generous, handsome, desirable guy? Or just my brother? Leave it to Luann to go the childish route with something like that. She's one to talk about generous and desirable - ask Gunther, he's bound to say something else.I wouldn't put it past Nancy to have talked trash about Toni while Luann was within earshot and Luann actually believed some of her paranoid ramblings.

Brad's not handsome, but he's not ugly either. He's certainly generous and desirable, unlike you, Luann.

3/6's installment in a nutshell:
Luann and Quill are talking about how many West Side Story posters they got up and it leads to Luann one-upping Quill. It leads to some teasing by Quill. Let's just hope next week is more entertaining - I'm kinda tired of the immature airhead babysitting the lovable geek every time he grumps over her kissing the handsome Aussie.

I'm just tired of this whole story arc altogether; I just hope they show the main production next week... unless of course you-know-who does another cliffhanger.

3/8:
First frame: Nancy: Luann's school is having a fancy red carpet opening for West Side Story. We'll have to wear something nice. Frank: Brad, too. He's bringing Toni. Now observe as Nancy goes into "paranoid wet blanket" mode. Second frame: Frank: Hey, you should go buy a nice dress with Toni! Go to Wal-Mart, do some girl-bonding! That's something that's bound to end in disaster, given Nancy's paranoia about Toni and the fact Frank probably wouldn't be nearby to play referee. Third (and final) frame: Nancy: So you're saying I don't have a nice dress, I should buy one at Wal-Mart, and I need to "girl-bond" with Toni. Frank: It's weird how my words sound so wrong when you say them. No comment.

No, Frank's saying you need to knock off this childish paranoia and get a clue about your son's girlfriend.

3/9:
First frame: Nancy: Actually, your idea of dress shopping with Toni is good. I'll call her. Frank: March 9, 2010: had a good idea. *Marks it on the calendar* It will continue to be a good idea as long as Nancy puts a 5-count choke hold on her unfounded paranoia about Toni. Second frame: Toni: *Answers her cell phone* Hello? Oh, hi, Mrs. DeGroot. Yes, Brad's bringing me to Luann's play. What? Oh! Well...sure! I'd love to! Okay. Bye. A slight hesitation on Toni's part - but it's understandable, given Nancy's ice-queen act towards her last Thanksgiving. Third (and final) frame: Toni: Your mother wants me to go shopping with her. Brad: Good! That means she's accepted us being togeth-- *his cell phone goes off* Oh. Now she's calling to tell me. In this matter, Nancy didn't know Toni and Brad were together - so it's understandable she called them individually. But all the same - Nancy still needs to put a very tight rein on her paranoia.

Leave it to Frank to put some sarcasm into the equation.

3/10:
First frame: Toni: Don't tell your mom I'm here! She'll think I hang out. Brad: But you don't, although I wish you did... Sounds like an argument's a-brewing... Second frame: Toni: I'm here when I CAN be, Brad. Brad: Which is hardly ever. Toni: Hey, I'm SORRY I have other obligations! Brad: Like I don't? Other obligations...her job I understand. But others, like babysit a half-pint brat whose parents saddle her with at all hours because they don't have the balls to discipline her...I'd have a hard time accepting that. Sounds like Brad's sounding more and more afraid he'll lose her - he's going the Dirk route, it seems. For starters, Brad...STOP LISTENING TO TJ'S RELATIONSHIP ADVICE. He only seeks to ruin things between you and Toni so he can grab her on the rebound, can't you see that? Third (and final) frame: Toni: *Gets up and puts on her coat* OK. I'll leave them to you, then. Brad: Hold it...my mom caused our first argument - and she's not even here... Unreal, isn't it, Brad?

I wonder how their first argument will come into play with Toni and Nancy going shopping together (assuming of course, that they do at all).
