This one from me in 2002...

Wooo-Hooo...The GU-RU!

Went to the Trafford Centre last night for some mexican food at the Exchange Bar and Grill...and to see "The Guru".

EXCELLENT movie. Mock Bollywood with lots of humour, the mandatory singing and dancing (though not TOO much)...and some really side-splitting belly laughs. You know it's a good movie where all the cinema audience laugh at the same time (and it was quite packed last night)!

One scene (not a spoiler as such) where they "make their money"...and "Swami Rammy" and his mates get kitted up...and come out of the shops looking like some kind of Indian Pimp Posse, strutting their stuff!

Wonderful take on the "Great American Dream" of being rich and famous...and as Ramu's friend, Vijay tells him cynically...

"They call it the American Dream because you only see it in your dreams!"

Definitely a hilarious movie worth seeing! Personal rating would be a 7.5 out of 10! (Currently IMDB rating about a 6, which I think is too low!)
