INTENSE!
Whatever you do, how ever much you're tempted don't download it... don't wait for the DVD... watch THIS at the CINEMA! or you'll regret it
I'm not going to say much more other than there are so many many different levels to this trilogy. Don't read anything about it to spoil it for you just go and watch it.
Rating 9.726 / 10
Now I have a little more time I’ll expand slightly:
*********If, like me, you don’t want to know ANYTHING about this before you see it you probably shouldn’t read on*********
OK, first of all this isn’t your average Matrix movie at all. In fact most of it is set in Zion. Unsurprisingly, this film picks up at the exact point the last one left off. If you recall, Neo is lying on the table in Roland’s ship (The Hammer) after defeating some sentinels with his bare hands and passing out.
There are some parts of the film based inside the Matrix but on the whole I think it was the best solution to bring us something different. Another two hours of Trinity performing scorpion kicks, whilst very cool, would have just made the film Terminator 3 for me… been there, done that, seen it all before.
Mainly this film centres around the machine attack on Zion, real edge of your seat intense action stuff, a full on roller coaster ride of pretty much the best special effects I’ve ever seen (we’d expect nothing less really!) Whilst the last remaining humans battle the machine onslaught, our hero goes in search of the machine city itself in order to finally defeat his anti self - the increasingly more powerful Agent Smith programme, who if you recall, has even made it into the real world.
Before this gripping action greets you however there’s the small annoyance of having to sit through some mind bending answers to all the questions raised in the previous films. Or should I say mind numbing questions to the questions raised in the previous films. Keep your concentration here, you’ll need it!
As I said above this film can be watched on so many levels. You don’t have to know anything about computers to enjoy the thrill of the intense action but if you know a little you can pick up more and more of what and why the films about.
That’s enough! …go and watch it! ;)
