Last night I caught up with our recorded programme of SHERLOCK, the new twist on Sherlock Holmes, last night...and looks like I have a new :lust: ...Benedict Cumberbatch!

The INTERESTING part is THIS (http://www.metro.co.uk/tv/836220-sherlock-holmes-cumberbatch-i-snubbed-doctor-who) however! I thought there was something very Matt Smithish about him! :pom:

Oh, and in case you think I was drooling the entire show and not paying any attention - the show was FANTASTIC! :bad:
The filming is very stylised (watch it and you'll understand) and fast paced.

Also, it was created by Steven Moffatt (!) & Mark Gatiss (!!) - how can it be bad? Roll on next Sunday!

I have always liked Sherlock Holmes. I will have to grab this and watch it.

Definitely mate. I'm normally a bit of a purist when it comes to the "Classics" (didn't like the new Miss Marple), but this show is brilliant!

Watched the first episode and I liked it. Its now added to my list to get. I think they brought the character fourth in the modern world very well to be honest. I like this better then some of the other shows like Young Sherlock and such.

Young Sherlock was a bit rubbish really. Mark Gatiss makes a very good Mycroft.

It remains to be seen whether the actor who plays Moriarty delivers or not. :)

Since I have read and watched alot of Sherlock Holmes stuff I wasn't surprised at the name Moriarty being brought up but it should be interesting.

Question though. What case was it that dealt with Mrs Hudson?

Not sure...something to do with a cat, wasn't it? :mu:

No idea. I will have to look it up.

Watched the 2nd and 3rd episode and its pretty good.

However I found Moriarty to be portrayed a bit childish.

Still enjoying the show. Fact that it has Hour and a half episodes is interesting and has content.

I like this length of format for a tv show.

Hmmm, I found Moriarty a wee bit on the childish/churlish side. Perhaps his character develops along the way.
Let's hope so as apart from that, it's an excellent show.
