Well normally, the door is closed. I yell "Birdies" and they come running to sit and look (I wouldn't want them to actually get the birds).

The other day, I was at the sink, and yelled "Birdies" - Essie came running, and I forgot I had the back door open! :eek: What did she do? Sit on the doorstep looking out at the bird with her mouth twitching and going "Miaow?". :laugh: Dozy kitty!
