I love gardening. I have been doing it for 16 years aprox now but I just do vegetables and such. Think last year I posted my garden here on the boards before the crash.

Anyways this years crop is more diverse and this is my presonal garden. I have 3 others that I work on with a friend.

What I am growing is:
Rosemary
Sage
Coriandar
Stevia
Bush Beans
Dill
Fennel
Hungararian Wax Peppers
Variety of Tomatoes (beef steak, sweet M's, Super orange...)
radishes (lots of radishes lol)
Beets
Carrots
Spinach
Cucumbers
Butternut Squash
Basil
Red Sails Lettuce
Head Lettuce
Leafy green lettuce
Eggplants
Chives

Edit: Forgot Sunflowers

Think that covers all in that plot. In the other plots have other types of leafy stuff like Bok Choy, leeks, and whatever else.

MMM fresh ingredients for my recipes :)

Yep it saves me about $500 in vegatables over the summer growing them myself.

Taste better too.

On top of that I sell some of it from the other plots. Have a guy that buys the Bok Choy, radishes and our lettuce mix(bon viat, spinach, coriandar, red sails lettuce, arugala) so far along with some restaurants that buy basil and such.

I take it I'm the only guy who wants a terrarium with things like say... Nightshade.

Well been awhile since I posted but this is what I wil be growing summer 2011. So far I have tilled and I put up 3 2x4x8's with 1x1's cross beams making 7 foot squares x2 with mesh so I can grow some climbing beans (snap peas) :)

Anyways what I am growing this year:

sugar snap peas
potatoes
parsley
cilantro
purple basil
sweet basil
red sails lettuce
arugula
purslane
oregano
beets
carrots
spinach
dill
bush beans
eggplants
super orange cherry tomatoes
red cherry tomatoes
stevia
bush cherry tomato
hungarian wax hot peppers
jalepeno or some other type of hot pepper like scotch bonnet or whatever
radishes
sage
chives
mesclun salad mixture (lettuce, chervil, arugula, chicory and other greens)
healthkick salad blend (kale, mustard, lettuce, etc.)

Will add more pictures once its planted and growing. :)

here is an update. I ended up also adding cabbages, asparagus and brocoli. The hot pepper I chose was habenero.

Here is some pics of my freshly planted garden. I also addes some stakes and twine to keep the kids out. Last year people used my plot as a shortcut to walk thru since I had my paths going other direction. Now I have the snap pea fence and paths going other way.

Of course!

Next time I am at my other garden that I do with a friend I will show you the rest. The other garden is my friends and mine small hobby that we do while the summer to cover our costs and make a bit of money on the side selling to local markets. :) It is probably about 3 times the size of the one I have shown for my personal use.

This is our emblem. We call ourselves URBAN GARDENS.

Been a half decent summer and everything is growing great. Lots of lettuce. Can't wait for potatoes.
