As I made my way home through the thick smokey night air, the smell redolent of fireworks - I smiled to myself. I was not going to any bonfires tonight (it's been raining pretty solid most of the day and the fields would be so soggy/boggy as to make it very miserable), but my neighbours were putting on a good show, with a goodly amount of fireworks being sent up - no need to lift a finger. :)
Wherever you are in the UK tonight - I wish you all a very pleasant Guy Fawkes Night. As TB said this morning - the only day where you actually celebrate a failure! (Though some may say blowing up the politicians would be a very good thing!)
