That's what they all say...and I'm still not doing any Christmas shopping till Thanksgiving's done here in the States. They call it Christmas shopping SEASON for a reason...

Times have changed, Lotty - I've adopted a "live and let live" mindset with those who prefer to make fools of themselves doing Christmas shopping at this time of year.
I'll be laughing at them when they can't return or exchange what they got now for something else a few months from now.
Can we please get Samhain out of the way before we start the Christmas countdown? I like to celebrate my holidays in order and not jump ahead

I must admit I do rather prefer to get my birthday out of the way first too...

Hey, it's Roz! She lives!
I heard the PS3 is finally getting down in price. I might indulge, but I don't really see why since I have a 360. Are there any games worth getting for the damn device?

I WOULD love it (if only I could persuade TB the importance of having a PS3 and wireless guitar for the game)... :halo:

This is REALLY wrong. (Right idea in the fact that at least the figures are recognisably and suitably "Xmas-ey" instead of generic plain lighting...but the timing is WELL off! :p )
Christmas Comes Early to Rochdale (http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1133028_christmas_comes_early_to_rochdale?newslett er=weekly%20update-20090821)
Well lets face it, its hardly been warm enough to count as a proper summer maybe the outside temperatures got the council all confused. Saying that, August is still way too early for christmas lights, Novemeber 1st is fine, no earlier.

November's okay as far as Crimbo decorations are concerned, seeing as fewer people around here care about Thanksgiving these days.
Before then...just wrong, wrong, WRONG.
I'm not sure, one of the projects I was working on at my last place was to build a new college on this site that just happens to currently store the illuminations. Maybe they'll have to stay up all year now.

They just seem to have no grasp or concept on what is right regarding Xmas decorations/timing any more. Any 10 yo would have more sense, and should be sitting on the decorating council these days!

:D I so want to go...
I've been to Harrods in London.. quite impresive for a toy store. But I would "hate" going there around x-mas time as it was so packed when we went in February time.

Now I will start a countdown to Christmas, now that Thanksgiving is over because there are no major holidays to worry about now.
