Hi there Lotus ,yes you're right he is presenting rather than taking part in Hole in the Wall ,but I'm not so sure it's a blessing coz seeing him in silver lycra each week was a sight to behold. You probably also know that he was very ill recently with perotinitis and a twisted colon but has thankfully made a full recovery and was able to go to Erin's wedding -did you see the pics in Hello magazine?

I have done. I dreamt I was on the Riviera, and I had a long scarf wrapped around my head with Anton driving an open top car (make and model unknown). The sun was shining, and the water was glistening in the background, and I felt a wonderful sense of happiness, and then...I woke up. BLOOOOOODY alarm clocks! :laugh: :p

Seen last night's show...my views?

1. Missing Arlene, though Alesha did better than I expected she would (Bruno's happy!)...

2. Pro dances fab as always - group Mambo? Natalie Cassidy (despite looking a wee bit like a sequinned over-ripe tomato) gave it some wellie.

3. Still luvin' the Brucie moments - the man's a national treasure (and yes, some folk DO say that as such he should be buried! :nuts: )

4. Didn't see enough Anton, and have to wait til next week, but his partner looks like she's capable enough - GO ANTON! :yip:

5. The one good celeb? Fave from last night HAS to be Ali Bastion and Brian Fortuna - I think this girl has some serious potential.

6. Craig - love him or hate him...I LOVE him, darhlingk! :yes:

7. Joe Calzaghe (sp?) and Linda Bellingham = car crash TV! :laugh: Oh dear...

Hands up who saw last night's show? SHE CAN DANCE! :yip: AT LAST! Anton looks like the cat that has swallowed the cream. Laila was so graceful, and although the dress was a smidge too long - she was definitely following his steps, rather than being dragged (sorry Kate).

Ricky Whittle was excellent too. It's going to be a tough season. Hell, even Joe Calzaghe pulled his socks up!

If you’ve glitter flowing in your veins, and rhythm in your feet,

Then tune in Saturdays on BBC, for Strictly’s got your Seat,

There’s glamour, glitz and sparkle, no other programme has its Charm,

When nights are chill - the music’s Brill, dancing’ll keep you warm!

Brucie’s jokes, and Bruno’s croaks – they have me so in stitches,

My ribs they ache, my tummy shakes – happiness beyond riches,

Craig’s “Dis-AAAH-ster’s”, Len’s Pickled Nuts, Alesha’s helpful hints,

All shine bright throughout the night – my life’s all rosy-coloured tints!

Comments shared on how each fared, then dashing up the stairs,

Tess soothes their nerves and smoothes their woes to ease their worried cares,

Chatter, banter, support and cheer – backstage, one happy family,

Hi Lotus & sweety,so how do we think our beloved Anton is doing then -I think the judges were very hard on them after their Sarmba (love the way Anton pronounces it) poor Anton looked mortified and was rendered speechless ,Bruno had definately got out of bed the wrong side as he did'nt have a good word for anyone & then even Len went for Anton's jugular as well -poor chap I just wanted to give him a big hug !

I thought poor Anton always does get the third degree whenever there is Latin involved. Myself - I loved the routine, and Laila carried it off quite well I thought. Undeniably, Anton IS King of the Ballroom - he just has to get his Latin game up a wee bit. Yes, I wanted to give him a great big hug too...he seemed so crestfallen.

Twas Saturday night & all round the house
nothing dared stir ,not even a mouse
For Strictly had started and the music begun
First Tess & Bruce,then the dancers too
Now itis time for some fun

Zoe & James then Ola and Chris
But wait just a minute ,I dont believe this
Laila and Anton are out on the floor
Dancing the Samba & giving it what for
The music finishes & to the judges they go
Happy that they've put on a good show

First we hear what Craig has to say

Sorry I have'nt posted on here for a while Lotus but I have recently been told the bombshell that I have breast cancer and am going into hospital next week for an op so look after Anton for me and I'll be back soon.

One of my friends had breast cancer year before last - she's all finished her treatments, and all was successful for her, as I am sure it will be for you too, hun. Hi Lotus,thought I'd just give you an update as I have'nt posted for ages -unfortunately I have just undergone my third cancer op -a mastectomy this week so am taking things
carefully at the moment and am hoping for better results from my consultant next week -fingers crossed !
Has there been any good Anton gossip in my absence?

No goss - good or otherwise - that I've heard of. Been very quiet. Missing my SCD fix already, that's for sure (can't wait til the next series - wonder who Our Anton will get this time around?!).

Hi Lotus,seems ages since we've spoken ,so thought I'd give you an update -saw my consultant & she said that the Cancer had become invasive and gone into the breast tissue but had'nt reached the lymph nodes ,so now I've got to take Tamoxifen for 5 yrs .
I have also had an infected scar which burst open and I lost a pint of fluid from my chest due to poor drainage after the op ,I then followed that with the Noro virus & now I have a streaming cold -other than that I'm fine !!! how about you?

Oh dear, I'd hate to hear your definition of poorly then. You poor soul. :( Still, sounds like you are trying to keep your chin up. I am well, thanks, Waltzing.

Have you been getting a lot of reading done? If so, I can recommend some books that will keep you amused. :) Are you on Facebook at all? There is word that the BBC are trying to get rid of most of the current professional dancers. Or so the rumour goes.

Well...it's on again! Last night kicked off the SCD Season in great style. Surprise surprise - Pamela Stephenson did a creditable waltz - whether she's like Cherry Lunghi, and can Ballroom but not Latin remains to be seen.

As for the Cha Cha Cha Darhlings - Matt Baker, aka Hips Baker - PHWOAR! :lust: Best of the Latin for the night - but can he ballroom?

Loved Felicity Kendal looking like a beautiful cha-cha canary, with promise of better to come, and Scott Maslen looking very Leading Man in the Ballroom - I though someone will have to nail Bruno into his seat!

Tonight - Ann's turn with Anton. Will it be car crash TV time all over again? At least she looks like she has a sense of humour, and I am sure Anton will ham it up like he usually does. Can't wait! :strict:

So what did you think of last nights Salsa performance? I thought Anton was extremely clever to incorporate all the sexy bits that Ann did'nt want and play on it in an entertaining way and was'nt he wonderful the way he guided her all through the dance -not sure how his back will be this morning after that lift ,unless he's made of steel in which case he will be ok. don't know about you but I don't think I've ever seen Anton so happy and having such fun !!

Anton in Illegal Lift Shocker...and not a word said! LOL :laugh: ...and the way Ann told Craig he didn't have a Zero, so he may as well give her a One and have done with it! He was speechless - a first for Craig. God, I was laughing so hard I thought I'd bust a rib! :lol:

It was marvellously amusing - the way he ripped his shirt open, and Ann scolded him like a little boy and buttoned him up again. Definitely a masterful performance! :yes:

Pamela was on form again, and I think her nearest rival is Kara (PHWOAR to Artem :lust: ). Matt's nearest rival has to be Scott.

I'm finding Jared's choreography quite poor and definitely lacking in "oomph" - I feel quite sorry for Tina, as I feel she has the potential, but she is never going to reach her full potential under his tuition.

Well - it's that time of year once again when Anton gets lumbered with a toe killer! :rolleyes: They've just announced who's on SCD (mostly "who?), and I bet that he gets stuck with Edwina Currie. Lulu, being fairly small, will probably get Vincent (and I bet she can dance!). Really hope (against hope) that Anton gets Alex from The One Show, but it's more likely that Brendan will (yet again) cop off with her as I think it's written into his contract to only get the dolly birds! :p

We'll find out on Saturday - can't wait! :strict: :pom:
