Lord Finisher reviewed this one in 2004...

Well, Namco released yet another museum, reminiscent of the PSX series, Namco Museum Vol. 1-6 (N, A, M, C, O, (c) respectively), with only the first five released in America.

Pac-Man: Same ol' same ol'. Pinky tries to hunt you down using tactics, Blinky chases you directly, Clyde's an idiot, and Inky gets scared. If you score over 25000 points, you unlock a secret game: Pac-Attack.

Pac-Man Arrangement: This is different. Different puzzles, new algorithms, and an all-new member to the cast (who Bunni wishes to eat): Kinky. The weird thing about this ghost monster (GM) is that when he comes from wherever in the nine hells the other ghosts comes from, he automatically becomes eatable. When he's eaten, he acts like a power pellet, and you can then slaughter the rest of the Ghostly Gang. However, should he run into another GM, whether it be Clyde, Inky, Blinky or Pinky, they become a Super GM. So far, the only one I've seen is...
Kinky + Pinky = Rabbit Monster
Weird shit, man. There's also the introduction of "pills". Some speed you up, some put the GMs into a cauldron, and other various effects.

Galaga: Same ol' Same ol. Classic patterns, the mofos fly in, do some flying tricks, while shooting you, then return to the same spot.

Galaga Arrangement: Holy Shit. This is ****ing hard. While you can still get the twin-ship, instead of having just two ships next to each other firing the same type of round, they become a super-ship reminiscient of Galaga '88 when you got the Triple-ships, however, instead of firing just two regular shots (or in Galaga '88, three shots) you fire a wave attack, obliterating the first thing it touches (or two, if they happen to be on the same area horizontally and fairly close to each other). The first wave of alien assholes is just like the old-school version. Afterwards, it goes straight into hell - the first one becomes like a set of fireworks that is not only damn near impossible to shoot down, but it's REALLY FAST. And the challenge levels? Oh, dear, god... those things twist my head. It's hard to shoot those assholes when they AND the background move.

Dig-Dug: Same ol' same ol. Destroy some fuggas underground before they can reach the top ground and escape.

Dig-Dug Arrangement: A little neater than the original. There are newer things to use against the assault from your opponents, such as the super-rock, which smashes ANYTHING from where it is down to the absolute bottom, or LD's favorite, the iron ball that rolls down left to right as necessary and crushes anything until it can't move anywhere anymore.

Pole Position: Race, blah blah blah...

Pole Position II: See Pole Position but add three new tracks.

Ms. Pac-Man: Exact same, ditched Clyde, but installed Sue. The Ghosts run just like in Pac-Man. Score over 20000 points to unlock Pac-Mania.

Galaxian: Yep, the only game that ever completely trounced LD that I can ever recall. Pissed him off pretty badly too. :p (Sorry bro, but that's funny.) Anyways, yeah, the ships come pre-arranged, shoot the top ships' consorts first then the top ships when they're coming down at you for massive points.

Pac-Attack: The rarely heard of Pac-Man based Puzzle game made by Namco for the SNES back in the day. Why was it rarely heard of? It's freakin' hard! LD could barely get past the teen levels of Puzzle mode, and I have yet to beat level 30 of puzzle mode. Neither of us got that far when it came to regular endless mode (and I'm the guy that REALLY likes Tetris Attack).

Pac-Mania: One of my favorite Pac-Man games ever created. It involves Seven Ghosts (as reported by Namco Museum Vol. 5 for the PSX, and my comments in the parenthesis):
Clyde: The Big Daddy of ghosts is bringing his henchmen. (Big Daddy, my left nut. If he was the head honcho, he would be rallying all of the ghosts together, not letting them run around doing their own damn thing.)
Pinky: A nasty ghost who loves to ambush you. (I learned this the hard way more than once.)
Sue: The cute one who loves to side up to Pac-Man. (She's cute when my balls send out hypnotic messages to women telling them to have sex with me.)
Inky: A wacky and erratic ghost. (This loser's been wacky and erratic since the start.)
Blinky: A ghost with such an innocent expression. (MY ASS! This annoying bastard will chase you down to the ends of the earth.)
Green Common: When you jump, they jump too. (Another female ghost, she has a weaker jump than Pac-Man, but jumps at EXACTLY the same time that he does.)
Gray Common: When you jump, they jump too. (Yet another female ghost who is a very strong jumper. She jumps at the same time and height as Pac-Man does.)
Simply put, this game was Namco's first attempt at creating a 3D Pac-Man game. It isn't too bad - and if you do well, you get to see some interesting theater movies.

In the end, I have to rate this collection of games as AWESOME, with 9 out of 10.

Pac-Man Arrangement - two other Super GM's I know of.

Blinky + Kinky = Bull Monster (charges from place to place)
Inky + Kinky = Inky as a Super GM splits into 2 versions of himself, one real, one illusory, both of them deadly.
Clyde + Kinky = don't know yet.

Just found out what Clyde + Kinky equals.

Clyde as a super Ghost Monster lays out some extra dots here and there on the board, making you run around even more trying to clear it.

Whew...all four of them as super GM's...don't go there (it happens in later boards). If you're not dodging Pinky as a rabbit, Blinky as a bull, or Inky as himself and a phantom double that's as deadly as he is, you're struggling to clear the board and Clyde's no help by setting up some more dots on the board.
